"Urban citizens" invite all Professionals, Academics, Entrepreneurs, Religious leaders, Community leaders and all other Stakeholders of Sri Lanka to join us, and anyone who looks forward to changing politics and Governance from being just a lucrative livelihood or past time. Let's create Opportunities for "New" knowledgeable and compassionate leaders with love and respect for our mother Lanka.

We are a registered social service organisation made up of a collective of professionals, academics, entrepreneurs, and people who are not a burden to society and who can collectively influence and lobby in making policy and structural changes for the betterment of the country.

To educate, enhance and inculcate the knowledge of the Democratic process and the Rights of the citizens of Sri Lanka, facilitating the improvement of the political, social, economic, environmental, and cultural fabric of our motherland. Creating awareness of the basic Fundamental Rights of all citizens irrespective of caste, creed, religious or political bias and creating equal opportunities for all citizens.

  • To Foster and Protect National Independence, Safeguard the Unity, Sovereignty, and Territorial Integrity of Sri Lanka.
  • To Uphold and Honor the Principles of Democracy and Fundamental Human Rights of All Peoples of Sri Lanka.
  • To Protect and Promote Democratic Rights, Transparency, Accountability, and Conventions.
  • To Promote Economic, Social, Cultural, and Linguistic Rights of All Peoples of Sri Lanka.
  • To Create Access to Every Child to have the equal and Best Education
  • To collectively work for the fulfillment of sustainable development.
  • To Lobby, Intervene, Canvass public/common issues affecting the Citizens of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka with relevant government/private sector and or other relevant authorities/institutions in order to promote good governance and effective/efficient public administration and discipline.

Additionally, to teach the basic principles of honesty, and integrity free of corrupt practices to expedite services, and processes, or to act in a manner so as not to benefit personally, family and friends.
